Build better systems before the work builds problems.
As-Built Advisory helps owner-led companies move from hustle to structure — tightening estimating, operations, and field-to-office discipline before the cracks start costing money.
You have traction. The system hasn’t caught up.
The work is coming in, but too much still lives in your head. Decisions are reactive. Workflows change job to job. Roles blur. The team is busy — the system isn’t mature enough to carry the weight. These are the open items we close.
- Estimating that depends on one person’s gut
- Projects that start before they’re actually ready
- Field and office working off different information
- No scorecard, so problems surface late
- The owner as the bottleneck on every decision
- Growth outpacing the controls underneath it
Practical systems, built around how the work actually runs.
Not theory. Not a binder full of consultant fog. Usable systems, sharper decisions, and better operating discipline — the kind your team will still be using a year from now.
For owner-led businesses outside construction, the same principles apply: cleaner workflows, better handoffs, stronger controls, and practical systems that free owners to focus on what they’re actually good at.
As-built, not as-planned.
An as-built drawing documents what was actually constructed — every field change, every deviation from the original plan. That’s how we work. We start from how your business actually operates, not how an org chart says it should, and build the systems that fit reality.
We tell you what’s broken.
No softening, no theater. You get a straight read on what’s costing you and why.
Built to be used.
Every deliverable is something your team can actually run — not a deck that dies in a drawer.
The system stays.
The work lives in your business when we’re done, not in a consultant’s binder.
Who’s behind it.
As-Built Advisory is led by founder Andrew Leach, whose career has been spent inside construction operations — estimating, project startup, field-to-office coordination, and the production discipline that decides whether a job makes money. The firm exists to put that operational experience to work for other owner-led businesses building toward structure.
